How can I dress up a simple black dress?
I have a long black dress but I’m beginning to feel as if it won’t be fancy enough for the occasion (Gala Ball). What can I do to dress it up or not make it look so boring? Also, I don’t wear make-up (foundation & powder), what are some things I can use to wake my face up?

wear a long-chained necklace. wear high heels that pop out, maybe like red or something (though i don’t know if that’ll look right at a ball).
put on black eyeliner and make yourself look dramatic, and if you want a little more flair, swoop the eyeliner up at the edges.

Lots of things-
You can wear a belt, wear white gloves
You can wear like a silver headband
Or a necklace/earrings
Lots of things.
Anything with either silver or gems/fake diamonds (or real…)

eye liner, get your hair done, wear beautiful high-heels, and wear just one bracelet that pops out. do what ya wanna do.

Add accessories. If you have your ears pierced wear earrings, silver would look great! I silver belt on the dress would look AHMAZING! Maybe some silver braclets would look cool.

get a BRIGHT belt and tie it around your waist and then wear bright pumps too! Hope i helped!! :)

wear a big statement necklace, to draw attention to that piece instead of the plain dress. if you wear a big statement necklace then don’t wear too much other jewel, maybe a ring if you have to wear something else. Curl your hair or wear it up to bring more attention away from the dress, and wear cute dressy heals, a metallic would look good with black. here’s an example of the necklace I was talking about …

you could skip the dress in all and go to wiredshirts.com to buy these shirts. I’ve never gotten so many compliments in my life until i started wearing these shirts. They’re funny, cute, and all of them get responses.

buy a couple of broaches and pin them on the shoulders of the dress or just below, or at the waist

or add a coloured ribbon as a belt to match your shoes, let’s say a fuchsia belt and shoes to match

Use ONE of the following
red shoes,
gold shoes
gold jewelry long necklaces (plural!), rings, earrings(use black shoes with gold jewelry it will pop really well)
lip gloss and brown mascara. and if you want a little bit of bronzer!
as long as you wear it well it will look great!

well depends your kind of style. there are MANY things u can do with a simple black dress. .
for example.. i love the classic 1950s look. and for a recent event i just had i wore a simple regular store black dress, but i dressed it up with pearls and a red rose on my hair.
if u want to go glamor: get some gold earrings, a long gold necklace, a gold ring and gold shoes. or if u dont like the gold, go silver. . .
if u want an 80s look: some fun colored necklaces would look good with some colorful earrings, some colored bangles and totally 80s shoes. the look looks great.
or if u want to go girly, which im sure u wouldnt cuz u mentioned u dont like wearing make up… but heres the suggestion anyways u can get some earings with those rhinestones on them, some big stoned bracelets with some colorful shoes.
