How can i wear clothes to make me look less fat?

By Baday, March 14, 2010 3:51 am

Im 5’3 (quite short). I wouldnt say i was fat (112lb) but i have quite large measurements around my chest and hips for my frame. 34, 25, 36. I also have quite broad shoulders.
Im currently wearing size 8 clothes (US 4) but my figure makes me look more like a size 10 or more.
When i wear tshirts they sort of hang over my stomach making me look larger than i am in that area. Also whatever pair of trousers i wear my hips look out of proportion with the rest of my body.
I dont plan on loosing a lot of weight because i dont think that it would help the problem (my hips and chest in proportion to my waist would still be the same).
I was just wondering if theres any way for me to dress so that i look my size in clothes?
any other suggestions on how i can look smaller would also be helpful : ]

Nothing too tight in the pants that will create buldges. higher waisted stuff that hugs your curves rather than cutting into him.

Enhance your good size boobs with wrap tops/dresses that show them off but float comfortably aroudn the stomache

Oh honey there is no magic wand or there would be nothing but skinny people … in this world…. but we can trick the eyes , it is all allusion…. enhance your beauty by bringing the focus up to your eyes , face, lips, breasts, legs, and yes girllll the boo-tie….. buy enhancing all of your other features it tricks most people’s minds as they are focusing the beauty….. and boo-tie….. stay away from stripes No polka dots ….. and No small back packs …. nothing tight always fit to size when you wear tight all that stuff starts to pop out then people are focused on the issue at hand again…..

I am also curvy and have found certain clothes seem to look better on me and have a more slimming effect. Button down blouses that are “stretch” and cut to fit to curves are some of my favorite, I just hate ironing them. I usually wear them with an undershirt or camisole and leave the top few unbuttoned, thus emphasizing my waist. The V created by the unbottoned effect also helps. Avoid pants with pleats, they add bulk where you least want it. Wear jackets that are tailored, not boxy. I also like pants that are boot cut or straight cut, they balance out the hips.

usually darker clothing hides shadows created by poking out fat which is why black is usually a great color. you could also wear thicker clothing, or two of something to smooth it out. also like a shirt with a V color design if you can find one maybe at the mall if you look next time you go, clothing with design can play tricks on the eyes to make you seem thinner.
