How do people wear belts and not have their shirts cover them?

Maybe I just have long legs and a shorter torso, but I have to wear my pants really low before you can see the belt I’m wearing. Even with shirts that are short in length.

I could wear my pants lower, but then they’d be halfway down my butt, and I see people all the time whose belts are sitting nicely at the top of their butts and you can still see the belt.

You could wear a tucked in shirt, or an over shirt that you leave open. Then again, maybe you should wear a belt on the outside of your shirt, especially if you don’t need the belt to hold your pants up.
