Jeans: I have a boy shape – no hips with a slightly thicker waist. What jeans to buy?

Size 4 fit waist but have a loose hips/butt look. Also the crotch just looks big to me. Size 2 makes my butt look great, but there’s the slightest hint of muffin top, so very little flexibility if I gain weight.

Same here. I would either wear slightly skinny jeans. They are made of stretchable materials so you can either get a size 2 or 4 without worrying that much about your stomach. Or I would wear a long top just to cover the waist area so it wouldn’t seem like I ate a whole turkey in one sitting.=P

    Hope this helps.

Buy size 4 jeans that have more stretch like 3% or 5% stretch in a straight leg or skinny style. If you don’t have hips, boot-cut and flare wouldn’t look good on you. Good Luck!

I have the same body type/size. I love the jeans from Express, The Limited, and old navy. Go for a lower rise so you are fitting your hips and not your actual waist. Look for cuts that say they are slim through the hip and thigh, nothing that says “curvy” or sits on natural waist. I like both the flirt and the the diva cuts from old navy, the drew fit from the limited and the editor pants from Express.

I am built the same but larger and I got really tired of not finding any jeans that fit right either, until I found custom made jeans. I get mine at Make Your Own Jeans. They’re only $48.00 and you have total control over the style, fit, cut, rise, length, everything. I just love them. You even have choices of different cute pockets and other embellishments. They look great and they’re so comfortable because they fit perfectly.
