What color are button up shirt with a green tie would be good?

I already have my dress (picked out deep black), but I do not know what color would go better button up shirt with a bright green tie. We have a big party in our holiday Pain Clinic Management. Hundreds of people will be there.

    Personally I would go with a stripe shirt. . . with lighter or darker green, green color, depending on what the tie
