Does anyone know of a good shampoo made from all natural products that actually work?
I have very long hair that gets very greasy on top, and dry towards the ends. For whatever reason my scalp has been irritated and almost breaking out lately. I’m chalking it up to potentially irritating ingredients in my shampoo- maybe trying something to calm and balance that does not contain any irritants? Does anyone know of a good shampoo I should try?

Herbal Essences or Shampoo and Conditioner from The Body Shop. Plus I think you should wash your hair more often and like scrub it in hard but just not too hard. That what happened to my hair too….

Happy Hair Cleaning!!
if you really want something with no chemicals, try dr. hauschka, jason, avalon organics brands of shampoo. using something with rosemary in it would be good for your scalp.
also, since your hair is long there is a detangler/scalp spray from a brand called california baby. it has rosemary and is soothing to the scalp and also helps to keep your hair from getting tangled.
good luck!!
I agree. Try the shop that is called Body Shop.
Avoid any product that contain ‘sodium laurelth/laurel sulphate’ in them. It’s a foaming agent that is in most shampoos. You can try Giovanni Organic Hair Care, go to Giovanncosmetics.com
Also, if you’re finding you scalp becoming oily at the roots and dry at the ends, you’re probaly using the wrong brush or not brushing enough. Try a Deboa brush, it’s just the most fantastic investment you can buy. Fabulous for your scalp and it will disperse the oil sitting on your scalp evenly through to the ends. Do this twice day for a month.
organic stuff and look @ the labels
Giovanni Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner.
You can usually buy it from healthy food sections in supermarkets or health food stores. No animal products, no animal testing and it smells nice and tingles the scalp. The conditioner actually conditions and the shampoo cleanses Something else I like– You can get it at Costco sometimes in a huge bottle for very little $. I like Aveda products, too, but they are a bit pricey.
Try not to condition the roots, to keep them from getting greasy, and leave conditioner on the ends a while if they are dry. Nioxin shampoo feels very good and helps with flaky scalp, but the conditioner leaves my hair greasy. Good Luck..
If yo are looking for natural, you can try this Aloe vera Based with botanicals, which is very healing, try a sample at: http://www.wljohnson.lbri.com
go to the LUSH shop, they sell all natural products and their staff are always happy to help out.

Organix has different collections for different hair types in different scents which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, CVS, Walgreens, Bed Bath & Beyond, Rite-Aid, Wal-Mart, etc. Its the best! You’ll love it!!!!

What do you mean by “breaking out?” You could have some type of dermatitis that could be helped by prescription shampoos. I’d see a dermatologist if you think this could be the case.
My fave shampoo of alllll time is Pureology. Its marked as vegan and sulfate free, and its for colored hair. I don’t have colored hair and I still use it. Its on the expensive side for sure (25 dollars a bottle) but it lasts a long time because you only need a little bit. It leaves my hair sooo soft!
I tried Organix a few months ago because I saw it was sulfate free. I was hoping for a less expensive alternative to Pureology…I wasn’t happy with it though. My hair felt like straw. But that’s just my experience.
Hope that helps!
