if you bleach your hair it will go red / orange as i would not advise it as it will affect the color of the dye you put over it. on the back of all home colorant packets there is a chart Which shows you your natural color and the color it will come out if you use that specific dye. its just case of looking at all the brands on offer in the shade you want to use till you find one that will dye your hair the dark caramel color you want without having to pre-lighten it first. hydrogen peroxide look for a dye that contains. hope this helps.
