How come my hair won’t grow any longer past medium length? How can I help my hair to grow?

I’m Caucasian and I have really thick straight hair. It never seems to grow past my shoulders. If I cut it short, it grows back Really fast. If I get layers, they grow back really fast. My hair has been medium length forever and it never seems to want to grow past my shoulders, what’s the deal? Why does it grow so fast and then grow so slow?

  1. eek,it took me 7 years to grow my hair past my waist,(until i got it cut shoulder length in august lol),all i can suggest is look after your hair, make sure its healthy, get it trimmed so you don’t get split ends, and DO NOT !! dye your hair,it makes it harder to grow, GOOD LUCK !! :)

  2. it doesnt stop growing it just takes longer. your hair grows faster in the summer then the winter, and your diet can affect you hair dramitically

  3. Trim it regularly, and try not to do damaging things to it as much such as blow drying it everyday and straightening it and dying it.

  4. Trim your hair every 5 or 6 months.
Use Herbals Essences Body Envy volumizing shampoo.
It is fused with white nectarine & pink coral flower.
It will leave you with lush, full volume that moves naturally.

Use Herbals Essences Body Envy Volumizing Conditioner.
It is fused with white nectarine & pink coral flower.
It will leave a lift in all the right places and rinse clean to leave you with volume that minds and lots of bounce for the ounce.
    Diet is very important.
Have a small bowl of sprouts every day, and include fresh fruits, salads, leafy green vegetables, soya bean and curd in your diet.

  5. Can you really make your hair grow faster? The answer is no. The speed of growing is on your genes. But because of different factors our hair does not grow with its maximum speed. If you eliminate things that slow down hair growth, hair will grow faster. What factors slow down hair growth?

    1: Nutrition

    2: Wrong Hair Care

3: (and the list goes on)
