How hard would it be to dye my hair purple?

You can buy that cream like purple dye here. My hair is impervious to damage (I take very good care of it, and have dyed it professionally in the past with zero issues).

So would using a bleach kit to lighten my hair, then the purple dye work?
It’s a vegetable based dye, but I can’t remember the brand.

okay personally i really dont think you should dye your hair completely purple. get streaks of purple and other colors. or just get the tips of your hair a color.

i dyed my hair purple but like halfway :D
i had to bleach my hair till it was a fair blond.
my natural hair is a medium brown and i used Manic Panic
for the coloring. Its semi-permanet about 15 washes and it fades out.[:

Yeah u will have to bleach it first to go true purple. I saw a girl who had hers dyed black though with purple chunky foils and it looked awesome.

Go to a salon. I’ve seen some of the colours available and it’s awesome. If a pro does it and it doesn’t work, they have to fix it. It could very well end up cheaper and they have stuff that will last a long time.
Also, Koolaid or food colouring (you’d have to mix to get the colour) work very well on blond hair and are VERY resistant…must grow it out (or dye over it). :)
    Good luck. Purple is neato.

I agree about doing streaks! Bleach it first if you want an intense color. I like Manic Panic all the purples are rad.
