  1. any of the pantene shampoo will make your hair oily and greasy, it actually puts a film on your hair, I hate it. I have oily, fine hair and i use herbal essences. I love it!!! good luck

  2. Use Garnier Fructis Long & Strong. It works really well for hair. Pantene has artificial oils in it that add to your hair to make it unhealthy.

  3. You don’t want to use ANY Pantene Shampoo. It has a lot of wax in it, which basically coats your hair to make it seems smooth. However, that waxy coat is weighing your hair down.

Try Biolage or Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner.

There are also great products to use after your wash and dry your hair that give a great shine. Garnier Fructis, Bed Head, Goldwell, Paul Mitchell, Chi, and Herbal Essences all make great shine products. Many of these can be found at your local Walgreens or beauty supply store.

  4. I just bought the Walgreens generic version of Pantene. I only used it twice, so who knows, but it performed really well, to my surprise. It lathers nice and although it does have that stuff people say is so bad for hair, my hair actually stayed cleaner longer and didn’t feel as bad. Why does everyone hate Pantene so much? There’s this whole community called No-Cone Society or whatever. I don’t get it. I have Prell to use every once in a while for build-up but who cares, my hair feels clean and looks nice. I didn’t wash it this morning, only used conditioner, and it still looks ok. Maybe try Walgreen’s stuff. I have the 2-in-one, Moisture Renew and Forever Smooth.

  5. Oh, also…I do have Suave natural conditioner and shampoo. They’re ok. The shampoo doesn’t have “cones” but I don’t think it’s any great shakes. Try the Walgreens. Even the Moisture one cleans better than a lot of “volume” shampoos.

  6. To WOWaMIRAClE: I just got the Walgreens Everyday Clean 2-in-1 Pantene knockoff and I love it too! I think all this hype about Pantene being the next great plague is nonsense. My hair is clean, not “waxy” and my skin is softer than when I used my old “clear” shampoo. I hope Walgreens never discontinues it! I use Suave Naturals conditioner with it, since the conditioner in this shampoo doesn’t detangle–I have wavy, long hair. Love it so far! I bought like 4 bottles because it looked like it was going out of stock!

  7. Also–if you read the ingredients in other shampoos, they’re the same as Pantene. One person suggested Garnier. It’s loaded with even more gunk than Pantene. I used it once. Hated it. I’m amazed at how well drug store versions work.
