10 points to best answer! I WANT TO BE A HAIRDRESSER / MAKE UP ARTIST?
I so have my nine yr electives coming up and mum says that i HAVE to choose subjects that will help with my career. I want to be a hairdresser / make up artist. Could you guys tell me what subjects would help me with that? It would help me majorly, cause mum does not really know what subjects could help me. 10 points goes to the best answer :)

I want to say art and chemistry, probably something with people like psychology or maybe a computer class, like photo editing.

hairdressing i would suggest you choose art (become familiar with the color wheel) and so some chemistry is involved (as you need to know when applying hair color Depending on the hair type how the molecules in the dye will react with the current color-would it make the hair too dark or too light, basically knowing Certain reactions of chemicals is helpful). So i would suggest possibly a commerce / business subject – having to awareness is always helpful (plus when you are older you may want to run your own business but if not you need to know what drives customers :) other subjects can include visual media using photoshop and being able to Visualise and play with colors, shapes, etc.). So these would be helpful if you wanted to be a make up artist (except maybe chemistry but always good to keep your options open)
