I have this problem as i have deep creases in my eyelids. i find the best solution is to keep your eyes shut of look down for a while after applying eyeliner until it dries. Then check during the day in a compact if it has smudged and wipe it away with a finger, or makeup wipe.

You can’t prevent this without setting the liner. Invest in a good liner brush and, with a matching colour eyeshadow, dab it over the line. Once it is set to your eye, it won’t cling as much. It also helps to brush your lid with a neutral color that looks like your natural color, also known as a “highlighting” shadow.

Try to use a primer on your entire eyelid before applying eyeliner. I directed a link to Urban Decay which carries a good primer with absolutely no creasing. You could also find primer in other makeup brands like Neutrogena & Revlon.

I have this problem, too. Get L’Oreal’s Cream Eyeshadow Base and use it as a base whether or not you use eyeshadow. I put it on before any other makeup in the morning and it holds liner and/or shadow in place perfectly for at least 8-10 hours. It costs about $5-6.

instead of using pencil or liquid try to use shadow with an angled brush…its gives off a much softer look …real pretty and u wont have the problem of the liner rubbing of…it will last alot longer too…and if u want a more define look, just wet the brush a little first,,and let it dry before fully opening your eyes….this will also open up a lot more colours u can use for liners…good luck

Try using a eyeliner that is harder to smudge, like the pencil kind.
