How do I convince my parents to let me buy eye contacts?
I want golden colored eye contacts.
Because I love twilight.
I like my eye color soooo much but this contacts are just because of twilight.
My parents don’t like piercings, tattoos, and things like that but
why not contacts?I asked my mother and she said:
NO!II’S very hard to maintain them!
My dad will react even worse.Help!
But I want to look like Cullens!

You’d rather cause chaos with your parents over getting contacts because of a silly movie? Sorry, but no means no. And your mother is right…contacts are hard to maintain.
I love Sex and the City….doesn’t make me Carrie Bradshaw.

Lol.
Because of twilight…..
How sad.
Btw, I wear contacts.
Not all that great. I wear them for eyesight.

I don’t think you should bother.. contacts are a handful and arent worth the money cause of all the pain they will cause..
who knows you might want a tatoo or piercing when youre 18 or 20.. and youre parents might allow it.
so wait for somehting you really want
you’ll get bored of the contact after a week..
its not worth the time and money

Contacts can be dangerous- i know someone who went blind in one ee when their contact got water in it. Do you really want to risk that because of twilight? Sounds pretty petty to me, and expensive.

You shouldn’t worry about what people’s eye colors were in some movie. Take it from someone who knows well, contact lenses areeeee really hard to maintain, and gold eyes would look stupid. If you want contact lenses because you’re tired of glasses, then there’s a good reason, but if you’re just getting them because it was the color of people’s eyes in some movie, then don’t even bother, because that’s lame.

When I was in 7th grade, I really wanted contacts, too. My parents, though, thought I would not be responsible with them. Here’s how I got them. I made a deal with my parents that if I got straight As, they would buy me contacts. Well, I ended up getting straight As, and I’ve been wearing contacts ever since. You could try something similar. If your parents still say no, it’s best to obey them. If you don’t want to obey them, you could just go out and buy the contacts without them knowing then hide all of the contact stuff. I don’t recommend this but ultimately it’s up to you.

i have to say, this is one of the funniest things i have ever heard. its completely unneccesary to have contacts in your case, and i wear them and theyre a pain in the ass. its ridiculous to want to look like a fictional (yes, fictional, NOT REAL) character and have a fight with your parents over it.

hm do you have any near sightedness or anything at all cause if you do then you can say you need them to look at the blackboard at school ( you can get prescriptioned cullen like contacts online probably)

Hmmm,
I agree. I have dark brown eyes and I want hazel eyes. One way is to bargain your parents, or maybe you can beg them and try to sound like an injured party. Or, your could tell your parents you will be best as ever if you get them. If they agree you really need to keep your promise then though. I have the same problem with this and wanting to dye my hair. Try your ideas, and im hoping with you!

omg guys does it matter what color she wants or the fact that she wants to look like the cullens? just answer the question!
I think you should make some kind of deal with ur parents. like getting straight A’s or doing some kind of chore…whatever you think your parents would actualy consider. And try not to bring it up all the time because it might annoy them into saying no again if u ask a lot. :) hope they say yes!

well, i actually have that same problem. ive been wearing glasses for 4 years cuz of my bad eye sight. im SO tired of it. but ive been asking my mom for soo long and she says “your not gonna be responsible” if ur parents say that then say that they’ve never seen u take care of contacts so they dont even know
