Working in Hollywood doing makeup for the celebs or Doing special Effects makeup for Horror movies. Megabucks.
you want to get paid good money doing that i’d look at show. biz. hollywood or broadway. anywhere with a strong union for the industry. you need to put in long days with overtime to get big checks. working in a salon isn’t going to pay the bills unless you’re the one that owns the place.
Start up at a theatre first, at least to build your portfolio. Then pass it on throughout the film industry. I live in Austin, it’s a budding independent film industry out here. . . I may not pull in the BIG bucks right away but as I build up experience and reputation, it will have a good pay off in the end. Trying to bust into Hollywood or NYC is damn near impossible unless you are the best of the best and you’ve got some insiders to help you out. Good Luck!
If You were to be hired as a make-up artist for a celebrity, say er NIcole Ritchie, you could make miollions, but if you were to be hired by me, you might be able to make $. 7. 50 hourly
depends on who your working for. As far as I know, you can get a pretty good salary.
