How to get rid of dark circles under your eyes and dark eyelids?

By Baday, February 27, 2010 2:21 pm

I don’t know what to do…My eyelids and under my eyes are always always darker than the rest of my face. When I see pictures of me without any makeup on..I look like a ZOMBIE!
I didn’t know if anyone had any home remedies or a product that would help fade this darkness away!

Thanks in advance!

Best home remedy for dark circles
The most effective remedy for dark circles is also the most cliche. Thin slices of cucumber applied to your eyes not only helps to lighten the skin, but also soothes and cools the eyes. This can be especially comforting if you’ve been up late the night before or your eyes are red and tired from allergies or staring at a laptop screen.

Lay down on your back (because it’s easier to balance the cucumber slices that way). Lay thin slices of cucumber on your eyes, making sure they have contact with the skin under the eyes. Leave them on for 5-10 minutes. It’s a good idea to set your alarm clock if you’re doing this early in the morning. Be careful not to get cucumber juice in your eyes.

Dermalex includes cucumber extract, which is a less messy and more effective way to get the same cooling, soothing benefits of cucumber slices. The benefits of our product also last much longer and help to strengthen the capillaries under the eyes, to prevent future dark circles from forming. Learn more about Dermalex.

Tea bags as a remedy for dark circles
The caffiene in tea bags acts as a remedy for dark circles by diminishing puffiness. Caffiene in tea helps to diminish water in the tissues around the eyes (you’ll notice that many early eye circle creams contain caffiene for this very reason). In addition, tea contains antioxidants that are beneficial to the skin.

Take a used tea bag (green, black or white) that’s been squeezed out. Make sure it’s cool! Leave it over your eyes for about 10 minutes. You’ll see a noticeable improvement in puffiness and under-eye circles. Be careful not to get tea in your eyes.

Herbal tea bags are not useful as a remedy for dark circles, except for chamomile tea. Chamomile is an anti-inflammatory that can help reduce swelling and puffiness.

The best remedy for dark circles under the eyes is a product specifically designed for that purpose. Dermalex makes use of the latest research and cutting-edge products to diminish dark circles within minutes of application. You don’t need to raid your fridge or brew a cup of tea — just apply Dermalex and see the difference. Learn more about Dermalex.

    Remedies For Dark Circles
•An instant dark circles remedy is to use the correct concealer. The shade should be lighter than your foundation. If circles are very dark, choose 2 shades lighter. Great choices can be Revlon New Complexion Concealer, Estee Lauder Smoothing Skin Concealer, Cover Girl Smoothers Concealer, or Neutrogena Smoothing Skin Stick.
•Apply a good Vitamin K cream. Vita-K Solution gel or Peter Thomas Roth Power K Eye Rescue help strengthen capillary walls around the dark circles to make them less visible.

Starting from 25 years, every woman should remember about everyday care of the most sensitive part of skin on face. Care includes cleaning, toning and nutrition – same things you do with face. However, eye cosmetics differ from face cosmetics. Eye cosmetic has more delicate texture and sparing effect…..
