Vaseline promotes hair growth ?

So I’ve been wondering if it not only works on your lashes. If you put some in your hair, will it help to grow that too ?

If you have any other ways for hair growth, please say.

Oh, and how long does each way take ?

(im talking on caps because its serious)
the real word is called petroleum
    and petroleum is a oil
    (its made from gasoline)
and it clogs yours pores and follicles
and wo’t let moisture in and clogs everything

Vaseline does NOT in any way shape or form promote hair growth! This is is common misconception. Because it is derived from petroleum and mineral oil, all it really does is coat your hair in oil in and clog the pores on your scalp.

Petroleum (vaseline) does not promote hair growth, it clogs the pores of the scalp and coats the hair making it difficult for moisture to come through. First off it causes lots of buildup and the grease basically suffocates the follicles in the scalp. Some hair products (hair oil, pomade, grease) have this in their ingredients, if its mainly one of the first listed ingredients it means that is what the product is mostly consist of. I’d stay away from petroleun, mineral oil and lanolin oil. Some have success with products that have mineral oil since lots of them include this ingredient but I would only use it if the product washes out (shampoo or conditioner) but if you can also try to stay away from it. Good “oils” that are great to use on your scalp to help grow and maintain healthy hair are organic, unrefined and/ or extra virgin oils like olive, coconut, sweet almond, jojoba, castor. Castor oil promotes thicker hair, some women at the hair forum I frequently visit use it on their eyelashes and get wonderful results, the also use it on their edges, nape, scalp and seal their ends after they moisturized their hair. 100% pure castor oil that usually is found in the laxative section can be used but I like to use jamaican black castor oil which I had to order online.
