whats the difference between a cosmotologist and a make up artist?

does a make up artist do make up only and a cosmotologist does hair, nails etc?

    cosometologist does hair makeup and nails yes. and makeup artist only does makeup and you do need different certificates. any specific reason? i can give you more details if you are interested in those areas.

    cosmetologists need to pass exams and get licensed to perform

    makeup artists don’t need anything

    Just to respond to “phataway. com” who posted. . . real makeup artist DO need a license. There are many people who claim they are makeup artists because they are talented. . . but a real makeup artist went to school for it and has a license in it. :)
