I just started to wear make-up this year. I am 14 and I only use a little bit! DO girls under the age of 10 really need to wear a ton of make-up?

I didn’t start wearing makeup until I was about 13 to 14 either, which I feel is the right age. I think girls are starting to wear makeup younger and younger and it’s seriously getting out of hand. Just enjoy being beautiful without makeup for as long as you can.
12
no, im 14 as well and I only put on eye liner and lip gloss. Don’t go into the heavy duty make up ( foundation, cover up, ect.) because i’ve come to find that once you start wearing make up, you have to keep putting it on, somehow, it really changes your natural looks. So my advice is , no don’t put too much on.
If you don’t want her to become a makeup junkie like i did, let her use makeup. I think the best age is 12. I couldn’t use any until 15. It is not the makeup you should control, but the amount and the colors.
I think the right age is between 13-14. It’s like your becoming a Teenager, not saying you have to wear make-up at all, but, it’s as if it makes you feel like your officialy a Teen.. Younger then that, you should be still enjoying your childhood and being a kid while you can. I see all the little young girls trying to grow-up so fast! It’s crazy..
no, i mean, technically, no one NEEDS make-up, but I’m 12 and I only put on lip gloss, sometimes mascara, but not a lot, I think its good 4 girls 2 wear make up, cause it looks really good, and its not going to hurt anyone, just help
I let my daughter start to wear makeup when she was around twelve, but just a little. The key for anyone at any age that wears it needs to look very natural…the secret to good makeup application is to look like you’re not wearing any at all. But really it’s up to the parent to make the call on how much and how young.
Girls under the age of 10 shouldn’t be allowed anything but clear or pink lip gloss!
I think 11 or 12 is a good age for mascara and light lipstick, but should prefer gloss.
14 means entering high school, and is a little more acceptable to wear makeup, but not to look like a little hoodrat. That shouldn’t come till 17 or 18 (no earlier than 16), if ever
I think that girls should be allowed to wear make-up when they hit thirteen. Its our modern ritual of womanhood, when we acknowledge that yeah she’s turning into a woman. However since she’s still young, the barest minimum first – face powder, lip gloss, mascara or liner. The heavily colored stuff should be when she hits sixteen, about the time when the growth spurt starts to slow down.
i think girls should wear make up whenever they want to but i think when u start wearing make up u grow up. im 14 and i usd to wear tons of make up to school wiht my eyes fully lined and foundation and everything but ive realised that when i dnt wear make up i get a lot more compliments and i ve learnt that i am beautiful without make up. also i dnt want to lose my childhood just yet.
I THINK THAT THEY SHOULD AT LEAST A PRETEEN. 12 OR 13. GIRLS THESE DAYS ARE CAKING IT ON THOUGH. TRY ALITTLE AT A TIME. I’M 17 AND LOVE MAKEUP PRODUCTS. MAINLY EYE MAKEUP. THE KEY TO WEARING MAKEUP IS LOOKING LIKE YOU HAVE NONE ON. DEFINITELY GO FOR EARTH TONES AROUND YOUR EYES. DON’T WEAR LIPSTICK, INSTEAD WHERE LIPGLOSS. MASCARA IS COOL BUT DON’T GUNK THAT ON EITHER. TRY NYC MAKEUP FOR STARTERS. IT’S ACTUALLY A TEEN LINE. DON’T WEAR GLITTERY THINGS EITHER. WHEN YOU GET OLDER, THEN YOU’LL REALIZE THAT YOUR FRIENDS REALLY LOOKED KINDA FUNNY WITH ALL THOSE COLORS ON THEIR FACES. TRY JUST POWDER FIRST ON YOUR FACE, AND WHEN YOU REALLY WANT TO WEAR FOUNDATION, GO FOR SOMETHING THAT MATCHES THE BACK OF YOUR HAND EXACTLY. ALSO, DON’T USE A SPONGE WHEN APPLYING FOUNDATION. INSTEAD USE YOUR HANDS. IT GOES ON MORE EVENLY. GOOD LUCK AND DON’T BE AFRAID TO EXPERIMENT… LIGHTLY (:
girls should start wearing it in high school. i am 15 and i rarely put on make up. stay young. put on make up when you get older because who are you trying to impress now? you are only 14.
13 is a good year.
