i dont think so. the glitter might come off and could get ur tongue infected. eaither a clear one or a stainless is the best bet u have.

its better to start out with a metal barbell because plastic or anything with plastic balls cause infection alot easier. so wait until it’s healed to put it in

No. start with a metal barbell. any other kinds are slightly porous and won’t be clean enough for a fresh piercing. I’d pierce it with a titanium barbell and then you can switch to plastic/acrylic after a month. Also the flexible ones aren’t good for a new piercing. Just to be extra safe because you are piercing it yourself don’t stray from the titanium. Nasty things can happen. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ACCOUNT FOR THE SWELLING THAT WILL HAPPEN!!!!

um, sorry, no time to look at picture, but im pretty sure that “UV” barbells are plastic right? or acrylic, whatever you call them, i don’t use them. and if you’re smart, you won’t either. Self pierce, you’re gonna have to keep your barbell in for quite some time. and plastic, releases poison, so its not fit to be kept in your mouth, or on your lip for an extended period of time- the healing time. which im pretty sure is pretty long. you really shouldn’t use plastic for ANY type of piercing. if you can’t get silver, or gold, get surgical steel. im a health freak, so i don’t do that stuff, just don’t come complaining to me when you get cancer because of a plastic stick in your tongue. but yes, 14g is the right size.
