How much does usually cost to get a tattoo removed?
I have tattoos on my wrists that are an inch wide and about 4 inches long. Its all black, no color. Does anyone know the average price of tattoo removal?

It all depends different locations will charge you different prices. Keep in mind it will take more at least a few different settings to get it done. It is NOT going to be cheep. Chances are since it is an all black tattoo they will be able to lighten it but not completely remove it.

Depending on the tattoo….if gang related you may be able to have it removed for free. The government puts money aside to help people who have visible gang tattoos. Check your local state website for information.
If this is not a gang tat and you just want it removed, the cost is usually around 100.00 per treatment. Many places charge per square inch..and i’ve seen a few charge per “zap” I do not recommend paying per “zap” you will end up paying a ton of money because each zap is the size of a ball point pen and they will have to go over the entire tattoo. Remember…you will need many treatments to fully remove the tattoo. Sometimes 3-5. This depends on the ink. If it is only black than you are lucky because black is easy to remove. Colors like red, blue, green and orange take much more time to remove.
This is a painful process. I just underwent my first treatment 2 days ago. The pain is gone but now i have to deal with keeping it clean, moist and changing the bandages every hour on the hour. Quite a pain in the butt if you ask me but worth it in the end.
Please do not consider extracting the tattoo. This is where someone will cut it out of you..I’ve researched it and they all leave ugly scars on your body. Let me know if you have any other questions.
