How long will it take for my nose piercing infection to clear?
I got it pierced about 6 weeks ago, and now there’s a large red bump next to the piercing. I know it’s infected, and it has been for about a week now. I’ve been cleaning it with boiling salt water and applying antiseptic cream on it every day. It’s getting slightly better, as it was much worse at the start of the week, but does anyone know how much longer it will take to clear up?

uhhhhhhh, it’s not supposed to be infected, and it’s not going to remedey itself.

My mom’s did the same thing Her’s cleared up on its own in about two weeks: P

When I had a red bump next to my nose piercing, (this is going to sound great, but…) I popped it and then applied saline solution. You should not be using antiseptic cream on the piercing, as that will make the hole heal in the wrong way. The hole will try to close around the piercing instead of healing and leaving the hole there.

You should replace it with a bioplast instead and clean the material with antibacterial soap so down the swelling may go. You can find bioplast at piercing shops or on some good websites examined as this: http://www. body candy. com / cgi-bin / category / bioplastnoseSometimes it heals faster for more than most others. The normal healing process takes 10-12 weeks for the piercing to heal and the cells to recover.

If youre paying for it yrulseof, its your body and your face. Tell them you earned/will earn the money to do it yrulseof and youd like to do it as decoration because you think its beatiiful. If they still say no, im sorry to say but its not worth the fight. You still have to live there for the next year and its easy enough to wait until youre 18 and out of the house so you can do it on your own without having to ask them.I got my tongue pierced at 17 against my mothers wishes and she didnt speak to me for a year. Id do anything to get that year back now
