Would it be weird to have a tattoo of a cross and then have a tribal tattoo on the same body?

Would I be able to get a chinese symbol turned into a faerie? Iwould fading help with the alteration? what is the best way to get it less bold because i dont want a silhouette

i got a tattoo about 4months ago and its a rose and the leaves and the Strem healed up good but the rose itself is quiet and tender look dark u cant really see the detail of the rose

It is a design of a Suba (hand guard on a samurai sword (katana)) and is of a dragon coming out of water and going into fire. I would very much appreciate your help.
